Lumber Product Description
All of our micro lumber is surfaced four sides (S4S), and ready for immediate use. Each piece is guaranteed straight and true with no defects. Our lumbers are sold by the piece in the dimensions outlined in the listing. Please remember that surfaced four sides means the finished dimensions are slightly smaller than those in the listing. If you are having trouble finding a specific species or size of lumber, please contact us through the customer service page and we can try to get a listing created for you.
 

Best Wood Types For Solid Wood Screen Doors

Please note that all wood types may vary in color and grain line from actual pictures. Wood is a natural product with artistic variations. We do not use pressure treated wood.

California Sugar Pine

A soft, light weight wood. Does best if protected from the weather. Light in color. More chance of knots with pine than any other wood.

 

Western Red Cedar

A light weight wood. An
excellent wood for heavy exposure to the weather. Variation in
grain line, from tight
(top) to flat (bottom).
Less maintenance.

 

 

Douglas Fir

A harder, heavier wood than pine and better suited for exposure to light/moderate weather. Variation in grainline, from tight (top) to flat (bottom). BEST CHOICE
IF PRICE, AND YOUR PLANING ON PAINTING OR STAINING.

 

Redwood

A meduim weight wood. A excellent wood for heavy exposure to the weather.
Less maintenance.
